Frequently Asked Questions
Are the exchange rates live?
The rates in this tool are indicative reference rates updated periodically. For real-time live rates, use a bank, forex broker, or services like Google Finance or XE.com. Exchange rates fluctuate constantly during market hours.
What is the difference between buy and sell rates?
Banks offer two rates: the buy rate (what they pay you when you sell foreign currency) and the sell rate (what they charge you when you buy foreign currency). The difference is the spread — the bank's profit margin. This tool shows mid-market rates between buy and sell.
Why is my bank rate different from this calculator?
Banks add a margin (spread) of 1–5% on top of the mid-market rate. Money changers and forex brokers may offer better rates. For large transfers, compare multiple services — even 0.5% difference on $10,000 is $50.
What is USD/PKR exchange rate?
The USD to PKR rate fluctuates based on Pakistan's foreign exchange market, State Bank of Pakistan interventions, and global dollar strength. Check the State Bank of Pakistan website or a forex broker for the current interbank rate.
