Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate square footage?
For a rectangle: Length × Width = Square Footage. Example: a 12ft × 10ft room = 120 sq ft. For irregular rooms, divide into rectangles and add them up.
How many square feet in a square metre?
1 square metre = 10.764 square feet. To convert: sq ft ÷ 10.764 = sq metres. To convert the other way: sq metres × 10.764 = sq ft.
How much flooring do I need?
Calculate square footage of the room, add 10% for waste and cuts. For tile, add 15% if laying diagonally. Always buy slightly more than you need — dye lots vary between batches.
